I. Applications as Core Solvent and Cleaning Agent

Fiber Cleaning and Degreasing

Ethyl acetate, due to its excellent solubility (able to dissolve oils, waxes, and synthetic resins), is widely used in the pre-treatment process of textiles, replacing traditional toxic solvents (such as benzene derivatives), effectively removing impurities on the fiber surface. For example, when added at a concentration of 15% - 20%, the degreasing rate in polyester weaving can reach 95%, and the pre-treatment time can be shortened by 40%.

Natural Fragrance Extraction

As an extractant, it is used to extract natural fragrances (such as rose essential oil) from plant raw materials for textile aroma finishing, enhancing product value. Its low residue characteristic (<0.1 ppm) complies with the standards of eco-textiles.

II. pH Adjustment and Enhanced Dyeing Efficiency

Precise Control of Dye Bath pH

Acetic acid (with an acetic acid concentration of ≥ 99%) is used to adjust the pH of the dye bath, especially in reactive dye dyeing, maintaining a pH of 4.5 - 5.5 to ensure uniform dye uptake. Experimental results show that when the pH fluctuation is controlled within ±0.2, the color difference ΔE value of cotton fabrics is reduced to below 0.8.

Enhanced Dyeing Fastness and Vividity

The acidic environment enhances the adsorption force of fibers on dyes. In wool dyeing, adding 0.5% - 1.5% acetic acid increases the wet rubbing fastness by 1 - 1.5 grades, while the color saturation increases by 20%.
